Oh, the shame of it!

Well, my loves, I did promise to share the highs and lows didn't I ~ just look at that, a 1/2 pound gain over my starting weight *eeeeek*

Sweetie~pies, I suppose I could try to find some plausible~ish excuses as to why I have put on the pounds but I also promised to be truthful in sharing my weight-reduction adventures ;-) I briefly considered using the 'ole pre-menstrual bloat as my excuse but since my periods are now on their own timetable, that would be a tad difficult! The fact is that up until about Thursday I spent most of the week like someone on death-row eating their favourite things for the very last time! Ridiculous, I know, but I expect it's something we all have a tendency to do when we are about to embark on a phase of healthy eating/dieting ;-)

I guess my report card this week will have to be marked "Sharon must try harder as she can do so much better than this"!!

Every time I start a new diet, I lose a little, then gain more, I have tried to eat better foods, but counting calories isn't realistic for me. I have yo-yo-ed up 50# since I thought I needed to lose weight because a friend(?) called me "thunder thighs" at a party, in front of a bunch a people. I was a comfortable size 10.

Waaaaay back in my late teen/early twenties I was a UK size 16 and thought I was fat. I look back ~ longingly! ~ at photos from that time and realise that I was very nicely proportioned and not fat at all!

My weight has gone up and down all my life...It's more up now that I'm getting older. It just seems harder to lose now, then it used to be and easier to gain...I'll keep trying to eat better and get on my treadmill more...it seems it's a never ending battle...I hope it gets easier for you too...Hugs, Jennifer! P.S. I'm having a giveaway, if you would like to enter, come visit my blog! :o)

Helga, that is so true LOL I'm trying the eating healthier approach this time around ;-D

Hey, guess what girls?? Just because I seem to like to torture myself from time-to-time, I got on the scales this morning.....and discovered that I was weighing-in at 313.5 pounds ~ which is a drop from yesterday of 2.5 pounds ROFL Oh lordy, I wonder what those scales (and before you start wondering, the scales are fine and accurate!) will tell me on my "official" weigh-in next Sunday.....
