Living like a butterfly

image from freedigitalphotos.net

Well hello my loves ~ long time, no "proper" posts, eh!  My blogging mojo just seemed to desert me and I'm sorry to have lost three "followers" whilst I've been gone :-(  Oh well, such is life I guess...

I hope you like the picture at the top of this post ~ isn't it pretty?  I was actually looking for a photo of a butterfly in flight to illustrate the post but just couldn't resist this one instead :-)  Still, I'm sure the butterfly was flitting off somewhere else soon after the photo was taken!

That's what butterflies do, don't they ~ always flitting about here, there and everywhere, never staying in one place for long.  And that is what my brain does, sweetie~pies ~ it runs, jumps, hops and skips from one thing to the next, never lingering long in one place.  There always seems to be something new to catch my eye and consequently I never really explore or delve into the possibilities of any one thing.

And this mental gadding about isn't just confined to creative, hobby-type, things.  Oh no, my loves, it casts its wriggly-jiggly net far and wide over my mental processes ~ which I'm sure you have already noticed if you should happen to be a long-term visitor to my blog!  It's pretty tiring though, living like a butterfly.  My brain never seems to rest; even at night various thoughts and ideas are swirling around in there and I often find it difficult to get to sleep, or I wake up during the night at silly o'clock.  Of course all this brain activity could well be a jolly good thing if I actually put any of those thoughts and ideas into action.  But, needless to say, I don't ~ and my mind is leaping off after the next thing before I've even finished thinking the current thoughts!

One of the to-ings and fro-ings which cause some of my biggest frustrations is that of dieting/healthy eating, call-it-what-you-will ~ and I've called it many things over the years!  I thought ~ yet again ~ that I had found the "perfect" path to a healthy, slim future with the Zoe Harcombe plan I mentioned in this post.  Needless to say, I didn't stick with it ~ in fact, I barely even started it *blush*

To tell the truth, I'm getting really embarassed about all the enthusiastic gushing I keep inflicting on you all concerning my latest get-fit-and-healthy campaign.  So, I have decided to knock it on the head, my loves.  I quite obviously just don't have the staying-power to see any "new lifestyle" plan through ~ let's face it, I barely leave the flippin starting-blocks!

I'm sure you will all be mighty relieved to hear this LOL
